Our Teachers and Staff
Stefanie Gross, Founder and Executive Director
Stefanie is a dedicated educator, curriculum designer, and advanced yoga practitioner with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has extensive training in trauma-informed and adaptive yoga, specializing in making movement accessible for individuals of all abilities. Holding two master’s degrees (M.A. and M.Ed.) in secondary education and adapted physical education, she is also certified in positive behavioral intervention supports.
With a strong background in special education and differentiated instruction, Stefanie has worked across diverse educational settings, from K-12 schools to professional training programs. She has designed and implemented inclusive movement curricula, trained educators and caregivers in co-regulation strategies, and led workshops on integrating adaptive yoga into classrooms and therapeutic settings. Her expertise has shaped the methodology and curriculum behind Move Through Yoga’s training programs, professional learning initiatives, and direct services.
Beyond her professional work, Stefanie is a sought-after speaker and advocate for inclusive wellness practices, collaborating with universities, disability organizations, and community groups to expand access to adaptive movement. When she isn’t leading trainings or workshops, she enjoys life as a toddler mom and cherishes the journey of her beautiful, blended family.
Rachel Peeples, Program Operations and communications manager

By blending her experience in storytelling and communications with her teaching, Rachel is excited to help others better understand the mission and offerings of Move Through Yoga. With an emphasis on genuine connection and meeting each student where they are, she believes we can all cultivate greater peace, calm, and togetherness, both on and off the mat.
Kelsey Mueller, Senior Programs Instructor
Brenna Garrett, Yoga Teacher
Brenna “Bee” began teaching in 2022 after a lifelong love of yoga and holistic healing.
First starting her practice as therapy for intermittent asthma in childhood, Bee experienced the healing power of yoga firsthand.
As an adult her passion re-kindled for the practice and the encompassing philosophies that call yogis to reduce harm, speak the truth, and unite people from all walks of life.
“Yoga” means “unity” and where we find togetherness we find strength.
Eileen Valencia, Yoga Teacher
Eileen is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher and a devoted mother to a child with autism. Her journey into yoga began not just as a practice, but as a way to better understand, support, and connect with her son and the unique world he experiences each day. Through that journey, she found a deeper purpose—one rooted in love, patience, and presence.
Deeply involved in her son’s world, Eileen is passionate about creating safe, nurturing spaces where children of all abilities feel accepted, understood, and supported. She believes that gentle, mindful movement can open the door to connection, regulation, and confidence—both on and off the mat.
As a mother, her heart is in advocacy. She believes that parents play a powerful role in their child’s life and that advocating for children with disabilities is not only important, but essential. Through her work, she hopes to support not just the child, but the entire family—reminding them they are seen, heard, and never alone on this journey.
